Director & Production Artist
As a director with a background in art direction and 2D animation, my goal is to tell intricate stories primarily through visual language. I strive to create powerful, layered images that balance form and content, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.

Anima Flux is a 2D video game platformer featuring a bold blend of sci-fi action and drama. Its story follows two genetically modified soldiers, initially engineered for blind loyalty, as they break free from the illusion of free will. Contributing significantly to the project's storytelling, Oleg Condrea served as Director, Writer, Storyboard Artist, and Lead Animator, crafting the cinematics with traditional 2D animation techniques. The game's quality was recognized with three golden NYX Awards: Best Narrative, Best Game Design, and Best Art Direction.

"Sigh," originally titled "OF," is a bold 2D animated short film created and produced in the Republic of Moldova. For this project, Oleg Condrea contributed to the storyboarding and created traditional, frame-by-frame animation on paper.
The film tells the story of a man living in a grey, smog-covered city. He is perpetually sighing, a habit that continues until he seemingly withers away into skin and bones. However, the story suggests that even in the darkest corners of the soul, there is still a glimmer of light and color to be found.

SIGH / OF

Tangled Tails is a 2D animated short film currently in pre-production, for which Oleg Condrea serves as the writer, director, and head of production art.
The heartwarming story delves into dramatic ethical territory, following an empathetic yard-dwelling dog who is faced with an impossible choice: help the family's ailing grandfather find peace or force him to continue living.
The power of this story has already garnered significant recognition. The screenplay was awarded Best Drama Short Screenplay by the C7AA at the Cannes Marché du Film in 2024 and received first prize at the Oscar-qualifying TIFF Tirana Screenplay Competition. Additionally, "Tangled Tails" has secured a distribution award from Mailuki Films.

Tangled Tails

This experimental stop-motion film, which blends 2D animation, was co-directed by Diana Nicorici and Oleg Condrea. On this project, Oleg also worked as an animator, storyboard artist, director of photography, and set designer.
Titled "Lullaby," this deeply personal film plunges viewers into a nightmarish pursuit through a dark, labyrinthine forest. The story follows a vulnerable boy and his spectral dog as they are hunted by a terrifying creature. Their hope for salvation rests on a mysterious light and a comforting voice, which offer a chance to escape their shared nightmare.

"I was honored to contribute to Diana's innovative vision, exploring the creative possibilities of both animation styles. Each day of production presented a unique and rewarding challenge."
Creator & Writer
As a writer and creator, I am passionate about building interesting worlds and characters. I infuse my work with personal human experiences to give deeper meaning to the plot and drive the action.

On this project, Oleg Condrea served as the writer and visual developer.
The screenplay uses poignant imagery familiar to Moldovan audiences—such as trains and abandoned homes—to evoke the historical tragedy of deportations. Told from the unique perspective of a feral cat, the story follows the silent observer on a journey shrouded in mystery and intrigue. This narrative choice allows the audience to unravel the plot alongside the cat, which stands as a powerful symbol of resilience and survival in the face of collective trauma.
The screenplay's potential was recognized early, receiving financial support from the Moldovan National Film Center (CNC) in 2019. It began a successful competition run in 2024, winning first place at New York's Big Apple Film Festival and third place at the Slamdance Film Festival in Los Angeles. Most recently, it was awarded Best Mystery Short Screenplay by C7AA at the 2025 Cannes Marché du Film.

ECHOES OF RINGING BELLS

HITCH VALLEY
On this project, Oleg Condrea takes the lead as director, writer, and storyboard artist. The story is a chaotic comedy set in Hitch Valley, following a trio of unlikely friends: Zyx, a hyperactive lizard; Vaco, a perpetually hungry cow; and Alex, a stressed-out moose. Their mission is a frantic race against time to catch the premiere of the coolest movie ever made.
However, their path is fraught with peril. They must first survive a gauntlet of obstacles, including Alex's chores-obsessed mom, her terrifying snake boss, exploding cacti, and kitchen fires. Adding to the mayhem, Vaco's tendency to eat literally everything in sight when stressed threatens to derail their plans at every turn. It’s a hilarious test of friendship against chores and chaos, all before the opening credits roll. This project is supported by the National Center of Cinematography in the Republic of Moldova.
THE GIRL FROM THE SHADOWS
"The Girl from the Shadow" is a project pitch for a 2D animated short film, co-created by Oleg Condrea and Victor Sîmascu. For this project, Oleg served as the storyboard artist and visual developer.
The story delves into the life of a reclusive girl who becomes trapped in a toxic relationship with her own imaginary friend. The screenplay has already garnered significant acclaim, winning Best Short Script at the Florence Film Awards and earning a nomination at the Toronto Nollywood International Film Festival.

Time Guardians

"Time Guardians" is a pitch for an 8-episode, 2D animated mini-series created by Oleg Condrea.
The series blends high-concept sci-fi with fish-out-of-water comedy. It follows a mismatched trio from a chaotic future—an insect named Di, a cat named Marcus, and a liquid AI robot named Bubblegum—who accidentally travel back to the 2020s. The story explores their hilarious struggles to adapt to the "primitive" past as they grapple with everything from food digestion to social norms. Driven by their distinct personalities and clashing perspectives, the trio's attempts to navigate the unfamiliar world often cause chaos, creating a fun and engaging premise about the consequences of altering the timeline.
The project's potential has already been recognized, receiving a Special Mention at the "Pitch, Please!" competition during the Animest International Animation Film Festival.
Screenwriter
As a writer, I focus on subtext and visual storytelling. My goal is to create thought-provoking stories that offer a therapeutic experience, conveyed primarily through subtle cues and layered imagery.
The Bathroom
Luke wakes up to find his ex-girlfriend Nini unexpectedly in his bed. What follows is a raw, claustrophobic confrontation inside a crumbling Soviet-era apartment, where the two spiral through memory, resentment, and sexual projection. As accusations and tenderness collide in the narrow hallway, their roles shift—therapist and patient, parent and child, victim and exploiter—until emotional truth becomes indistinguishable from delusion. At its core, The Cage asks: should we accept what makes us feel alive, even if it harms us? A volatile, dialogue-driven chamber drama about moral collapse, emotional entrapment, and the cost of forbidden intimacy.
