About me

I am a screenwriter, director, and animator with over 15 years of experience spanning animated films, video games, and VR/AR.

Previously, I served as Animation Director and Visual Developer at Bully Entertainment. In this role, I led the visual storytelling for major IP holders including Marvel, DreamWorks, and Cartoon Network, adapting iconic characters like Captain America, Kung Fu Panda, and Ben 10 for immersive VR experiences.

In my independent work, I focus on narrative-driven animation. My short screenplay, Tangled Tails, won First Prize at the Oscar-qualifying TIFF Tirana Screenplay Competition and secured global distribution through Mailuki Films. Additionally, my screenplay Echoes of Ringing Bells placed 3rd at the Slamdance Screenplay Competition and was awarded production funding from CNC Moldova.

Professional Experience

Narrative Director - AVANTAJ PRIM/JOLLY CO.
Dec 2020 - Dec 2024

As the Narrative Director for Anima Flux, I orchestrated the entire storytelling experience from script to final pixel. My role went beyond writing; I architected a custom 2D cinematic pipeline to produce 9 complex cutscenes and collaborated with Game Designers to embed narrative cues directly into the environment. I served as the bridge between the writing room and production, mentoring a team of junior animators to deliver an aesthetic that won the Nyx Awards for Best Narrative and Art Direction.

Animation Director & Head of Story - BULLY ENTERTAINMENT.

May 2015 - May 2017

Served as the narrative and visual lead for interactive projects involving top-tier IP (Marvel, Cartoon Network, DreamWorks). In this dual role, I established production pipelines and mentored junior animators to meet international studio standards. As Head of Story, I spearheaded the creative development phase—restructuring scripts, creating pitch bibles, and directing animatics for clients such as Kellogg’s and the Smithsonian Institution.

Director & Head of Development - IMPACT STUDIO/FISHOUSE PRODUCTIONS. Jan 2017 - Nov 2020

Functioned as the core creative force behind the studio's original content slate. In this leadership role, I secured CNC Moldova funding for three separate projects, proving the commercial and artistic viability of the studio's IP. My responsibilities included leading the internal writers' room, generating full "Pitch Bibles" (script-to-board), and mentoring junior talent. Key achievements include co-directing the stop-motion film Lullaby and writing the Slamdance-winning screenplay for Echoes of Ringing Bells, which I successfully guided from concept to funded production.

Served as the Director and Head of Story for an in-house 3D short film. In this leadership role, I bridged the gap between 2D storyboards and 3D execution—restructuring the narrative for better pacing while providing hands-on visual direction. I utilized 2D draw-overs and over-paints to guide look development and personally trained junior animators in performance timing and character mechanics.

Responsible for instructing students in Screenwriting, Visual Storytelling, Storyboarding, and the fundamental Principles of Design Language at lon Creanga University.

Creative Supervision: Oversee the annual production of student short films, serving as "Superviser" for pre-production, boarding, and final delivery.
Story Trust: Conduct weekly "Dailies" and story sessions, providing high-level structural notes to elevate student work to festival quality.
Curriculum Design: Modernized the animation curriculum to mirror professional studio pipelines, training junior talent in industry-standard storyboarding and animatic workflows.
